🎙️ About the Podcast: Neuro Rebel

Neuro Rebel is a bilingual podcast that bridges science and soul, weaving together lived experience and research to reframe how we understand autism, giftedness, and neurodivergence. It’s not just about raising awareness—it’s about expanding it.

Created and hosted by a late-diagnosed autistic and gifted adult with a lifelong passion for learning, the podcast gives voice to stories and knowledge that too often remain trapped in academic ivory towers. Here, neuroscience meets personal narrative. Evidence-based insight meets raw honesty. And every episode becomes a space where neurodivergent minds can feel seen, heard, and valued.

This is a podcast for anyone who’s ever felt like the outsider—brilliant but misunderstood, driven but burnt out. Whether you're autistic, gifted, both, or simply curious, Neuro Rebel invites you into a conversation that challenges assumptions and builds connection. No hype. No pity. Just truth, humor, complexity, and community.

👤 About Me

I’m Anita—a retired law professor, a Fulbright scholar, an immigrant who built a life from the ground up with zero safety net. I spent decades climbing every mountain the academic world put in front of me. I earned its honors, its titles, its applause.

And yet, beneath all the achievement, I was silently unraveling.

I didn’t know I was autistic or gifted until after I stepped away from my career, burnt out, exhausted, and unable to continue performing at a level that had always come at great personal cost. Like many late-diagnosed adults, especially women, I had spent a lifetime masking, battling waves of depression and self-doubt, and trying to make sense of why I always felt like the odd one out, even in rooms I had earned the right to be in.

My diagnosis didn’t just give me answers. It gave me a new lens on my entire life.

Since then, I’ve devoted myself to understanding what it means to be neurodivergent in a world that often misunderstands us. I’ve read, researched, listened, connected—and slowly, I began to heal. But more than that, I began to speak.

Neuro Rebel was born out of that voice. Out of a need to share what I’ve learned—not just in journals and academic forums, but with people like me. People are searching for clarity, community, and recognition. People who deserve more than clichés or pathologizing stereotypes. This podcast is the culmination of a lifetime of passion, pain, and purpose. It’s what happens when a hyper-focused, neurodivergent brain decides to use every skill it has—research, teaching, storytelling—to light a path for others.

Welcome to the conversation. Let's build a global community together.
